Fins Up Concert For San Diego & Southern California Parrotheads
Margaritaville is coming to KAABOO Del Mar, as Jimmy Buffett is one of the acts playing the massive music festival in September.
KAABOO, which is Sept. 16-18 on the Del Mar Fairgrounds – making it kind of a New Orleans Jazzfest of the West Coast – has more than 50 musicians, plus comedians in a Feeding Frenzy of fun.
Also at KAABOO is Jack Johnson (expect Buffett to be backstage for this one, perhaps even to join Johnson on stage), Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, Chris Isaak, The Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, the Gin Blossoms and the Fall Out Boys.
But for San Diego and Southern California Parrotheads, Buffett is the main attraction.
He will be there with the entire Coral Reefer Band so the Fins will be up, Boat Drinks will be floating around the venue (San Diego has a huge boating community), there will be a few pirates looking at things other than 40 (it’s a good-looking crowd at KAABOO), and no doubt a Volcano of fun will be erupting as people are Defying Gravity.
There will be people with a Schoolboy Heart looking for a Cheeseburger in Paradise as they are Growing Older But Not Up.
The exact day of KAABOO that Buffett will play will be announced at a later date and published here on PubClub.com. The same goes with the other bands. Buffett’s Margaritaville site lists all three days of KAABOO on its 2016 tour schedule.
But there’s more for music and fun fans at KAABOO.
To show how hip this event is, KAABOO also has a late-night dance party called ENCORE. It goes from 10 p.m.-2 a.m., and features world-class bands and DJs including The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Ludacris, Matoma, RAC and Andrew Luce. Bigger and better than last year, ENCORE is guaranteed to wow!
A three-day pass is $249 and are on sale now (one-day tickets are not currently available).
