Blues/Rock Singer Rocks The Famous Calabasas Bar
The Shari Puorto Band, which mixes in original songs with rock classics, is playing a legendary Los Angeles bar on its best day of the week.
The venue is Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasis, a favorite place of motorcyclists out for Sunday rides in the hills of Southern California, and a destination for people from all over Los Angeles for its Sunday brunch on Jan. 12.
The band is playing from 2-6 p.m., right at the conclusion of the brunch and right in the thick of what will be sunny Sunday afternoon. Sagebrush Cantina will be showing the NFL Playoff games (San Diego is at Denver starting at 1:30 p.m.).
Shari and her band will be performing on a covered patio. Above the stage is the airplane used in the James Bond movie Octopussy. Sagebrush also has a second patio, a bar lined with beer tap handles and even a couple of fireplaces (which won’t be necessary on this day). There is no cover charge.
