Tina’s Vodka has completed the Non-GMO certification process, solidifying its commitment to producing premium vodka from organic, non-GMO corn. It is one of only three vodkas to attain non-GMO certification.
Non-GMO certification ensures that Tina’s Vodka is crafted without the use of genetic engineering, and its ingredients are entirely free from genetically modified (or engineered) organisms, or GMOs. In addition to this, the Non-GMO Project Verified status attests to the brand’s compliance with stringent provisions for testing, traceability, and segregation, making Tina’s Vodka a reliable choice for consumers seeking high-quality, environmentally conscious spirits.
“At Tina’s Vodka, we believe in a sustainable and eco-friendly approach to spirit production,” founder Founder Tina Karras said. “Achieving Non-GMO certification is a significant milestone for us, emphasizing our dedication to providing a product that not only tastes exceptional but also contributes positively to the health of our planet.”
Tina’s Vodka’s commitment extends beyond the bottle. Distilled from organic, non-GMO corn, the brand aims to combat the environmental impact of conventional farming practices. GMO corn, genetically modified to withstand pesticides, contributes to the degradation of soil health. Tina’s Vodka strives to inspire change within the industry by advocating for the use of non-GMO corn and other grains, aligning with the principles explored in the documentary film Kiss the Ground.
As an official partner of Kiss the Ground, Tina’s Vodka supports regenerative agriculture and advocates for soil health as a key component of a thriving ecosystem. The documentary, available on Netflix, highlights the vital role healthy soil plays in mitigating climate change and promoting sustainability.
Tina’s Vodka has gained recognition from renowned establishments with high-quality standards. Mercado, a local restaurant chain in California, has embraced Tina’s Vodka. In North Carolina, Giorgios Bakatsias, owner of the Giorgios Group, also passionate about nature, gardens, and healthy farm-to-table food, appreciated Tina’s Vodka and vision and is placing Tina’s Vodka in all of his restaurants. The brand’s partnership with Kiss the Ground extends to educational initiatives, with Tina working closely with the North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences to screen the documentary for students.
Tina’s Vodka is available for purchase and distribution through Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits in California, as well as in North Carolina ABC stores.Non-GMO means the product contains no or minimal (less than 0.9 percent) genetically modified (or engineered) organisms, or GMOs. Manufacturers must work with independent certification companies that verify that the product meets the Non-GMO Project’s standards.
