New Direct Flight From John Wayne Airport To Santa Rosa

Getting to the Wine Country in Northern California now a bit easier for those in Southern California.
Alaska Airlines has a direct flight from John Wayne Airport in Orange County to the Sonoma County Airport.
Flights from Orange County depart at 12:15 p.m. and arrive in Santa Rosa at 1:46 p.m. Flights from Santa Rosa depart at 12:40 p.m. and arrive in Orange County at 2:11 p.m. John Wayne Airport is be the second airport that offers non-stop flights from the Los Angeles basin. The other is LAX. Other destinations are Portland, San Diego, and Seattle.
The flights began March 16.
Sonoma County wines – the official wines of Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara/San Francisco, is located around Santa Rosa, which PubClub.com refers to as “the Charlie Brown town.” That’s because, as the home of Charles Shultz, it has colorful statues of Peanuts characters downtown.
It is about an hour and a half north of San Francisco on Highway 101.
