Tragedy Is Bringing The World Together Through Outpouring Of Emotions & $1 Million In Donations

The outpouring of emotions were stronger than the blaze that tore through the Notre Dame Cathedral.
As I saw the photos and read the reports and outpouring of emotions, I realized something good was happening from the this sad moment.
People all over the world were coming together to show their sympathy and sadness. It was, in the wake of a tragedy, a unification of mankind. In a world in which people are quick to jump on controversy, take sides and have split opinions that have caused great divides in our society, everyone from all over the globe has put that aside to come to the emotional – and, as you will see in a second, financial aid – rescue of Notre Dame Cathedral.
The financial side is stunning. After just one day, $700 million in donations had been pledged to rebuild the building. A day later, that number rose to 1 billion. A wine action in London, originally scheduled for a Palace of Versailles restoration, brought in $1 million.
And the good news is that while the exterior was heavily damaged, much of the interior was saved from destruction. The cross, the pews and even the candles survived. Notre Dame’s two medieval bell towers are still intact and its stained-glass rose windows appeared mostly unscathed from the blaze.
Bringing people from different areas, cultures and philosophies to make the world a little better place to live could be the great savior of this fire.
