Celebrating The Frozen (Or On The Rocks) Concoction

A beach? A bar?
Both!?
National Margarita Day is Feb. 22, and where are you spending it this day?
Normally, I don’t fall victim to all those “National So-And-So” Days created for social media hashtags and by marketers of companies just to push products like the greeting card and florists have done for Valentine’s Day.
But this one is an exception, for it has been around for a while and, well, because it involves margaritas!
Personally, I love margaritas. I prefer them on no salt, on the rocks, because they are more “pure.” Tho the frozen concoction version can be quite good and, in fact, that’s how I serve ’em up when I made them. (You see, I have a somewhat secret recipe handed down to my by a wild child of a former roommate).
So where will I be having my margarita? I’ll be in a beach bar somewhere along the Southern California coast. There are other great places to enjoy a margarita and I even wrote and article titles “Best Places To Drink Margaritas.”
And where will you be having your margarita? Or margaritas? After all, you can’t have just one, of course.
If you’re not where you want to be, then a margarita (or margaritas) can help mentally put you there, for tequila has an amazing way of helping you escape to a tropical paradise. In mind if not actually in person.
A lot of people have asked Jimmy Buffett “where the heck is Margaritaville.” And his stock answer is “wherever you want it to be.”
It’s the same for National Margarita Day. Where will you be spending it? Wherever you want to be, right?
Cheers! Or in this case, salud!
