Winning Numbers Are 5, 28, 62, 65, 70 and Mega Ball 5 (But Not Mine)
Gosh darn it.
I did not win the Mega Millions lottery. And the record-setting 1.6 billion that came with it.
The winning numbers were 5, 28, 62, 65, 70 and Mega Ball 5,
My numbers were 14, 21, 25, 38, 52 and Mega Ball 6.
Not even close.
So much for my plans on how to spend the winnings. Earlier in the day, I saw on the local news an interview with the lottery PR person offering suggestions on how to spend the money. Well, I don’t need any suggestions and here’s what I would do with it were I to win.
I would travel.
I would travel to all the places I’ve liked where I’ve traveled before, and I would travel to all the places I think I might like.
I would go to ballparks, to concerts, to festivals and every cool event I could find around the globe. I would go to places as diverse as Berlin and Brazil. To ski resorts in the Swiss and French Alps – and to Austria; I hear that country has the world’s best ski apres bars – and to beaches from Spain to Sorrento.
I would most certainly to back to the Greek Islands in July – to Paradise Beach and my pals at the Skandinavian Bar in Mykons – and to the sunset and nightlife paradise of the Tropical Bar and Two Brothers bar while in Santorini.
Additionally, I would go home and spend time in Knoxville, TN, with my family. I would also go visit friends I’ve not seen in a while, in Fort Meyers, FL., to Charleston, S.C., Toronto and Monterey, CA.
The odds of me winning were a scant 1 in 302.5 million. But hey, you can’t win if you don’t play. That’s true in anything.
The good news is that there was no Mega Millions winner here in California. That means there will be another big drawing soon.
So you’re telling me there’s a chance!?
Heck yeah!
