Unconnected While Making An Airline Connection

I had not been to the Minneapolis airport (MSP) for several years, and hope not to have to go there again anytime soon.
It was a layover destination, meaning I had to get from one terminal to another.
Immediately, I disliked the place. The gate spilled out into an area with food courts on both sides, each jammed with people. I could not figure out how to get out of the area to get to the next terminal. Finally, taking a guess, I plowed through one group of people, muttering several “excuse me’s” as I bumped into them because there was no other way out, and finally found a sign.
I was in Terminal G and needed to get to Terminal C. I began looking for a tram but nope! All I saw was a long hallway with a moving sidewalk I had to walk. A long way.
When I finally reached the end, there were two signs for Terminal C, one pointing straight ahead into a parking garage and another down an escalator. Which way!?
I took a guess and when down the escalator yet to get to my gate, I had to take a tram.
What!? I walked nearly two miles and NOW they have a tram!?
Needing some rehydration, I stopped at a water fountain. The little arch of water a fountain makes when it dispenses the water was so low, I practically had to make out with the faucet to get a drop. Instead, I took a small couple of sips, like a lion cautiously getting water from a river.
It was also warm in the terminal. Maybe the air conditioner was broken. Whatever, it just added another element to an unpleasant experience. I did see some artwork on display by a lounge area near a gate but by this time, all I wanted to do was get to my gate as the plane was boarding in a few minutes.
Granted, I was only there for an hour, but nothing about the MSP airport experience was pleasant. I sure hope I don’t have to fly through there again.
