Gas Monkey Garage Crew To Monkey Around Along With Motosports Stars

Cruisin’ With The Monkey combines reality TV stars with race car drivers in a unique cruise that will visit four destinations in the Caribbean in the Spring of 2017. It’s March 19-26 (for you gearheads, it departs the day after the 12 Hours of Sebring) and features the crew from the Gas Monkey Garage in a cruise that’s open to the first 2,000 passengers who sign up for it.
Led by the perfect-haired Richard Rawlings, Gas Monkey Garage is a team of mechanics and auto repair experts who restore classic cars for re-sale at auctions and to high-end customers. Twelve of the crew, known as the “Monkeys,” will be on board.
The cruise hits several tropical Ports Of Call: Half Moon Cay, the Cayman Islands, Cozumel and Key West. It is aboard Holland America’s signature class cruise ship, the MS Nieuw Amsterdam.
Activities include hanging out on a private beach in the Bahamas, an on-board pool party, a bourbon tasting, a chef showdown, a lively “Mixology 101” class and, of course, spending time with Rawlings, the Monkeys and popular race car drivers. Included are all meals, port charges and gratuities, and non-carbonated beverages (tea, juices and coffee).

Joining Rawlings from Gas Monkey Garage are: Dennis Collins, Christie Brimberry, Daphne Kaminski, Tony Taylor, Jason Aker, Jeremy Webster, Jeremy Cheatham, Charles “Sleeves” Cimino, Mike Coy, Tony Cano, Jonathan Mansour and Chris Montavon.
This is in addition to several top drivers from racing series’ in sports car, open wheel and drag racing being on board and part of the cruise.
The sports car drivers are: “Big Texas” Ben Keating, “Pure Michigan” Marc Miller, Jeroen Bleekemolen, Marc Goossens, Christina Nielsen and Katherine Legge. one of the few women to also have driven in the Indianapolis 500. The drag racer is Pro Stock driver Alex Laughlin, who drives the Gas Monkey Garage Camaro in one of the NHRA’s most competitive classes.
