Social Media Hashtags Connect People Passionate About Traveling
Sometimes, you don’t need to go anywhere in order to travel.
You can do it right from your computer or smartphone, Or at least mentally. There’s an abundance of travel chats available on Twitter and they are a great way to get and share ideas, learn of new destinations, reminisce about places you’ve been and get in touch with other travelers.
Many of these chats are filled with travel bloggers and others in the travel industry – hotels, airlines, tourism boards, etc. – so it’s a great way to connect with them on a personal level.
PubClub.com is a frequent participant in several Twitter travel chats each week and here’s a list of our favorites. We have also co-hosted two chats (which is not nearly as easy as it seems on the surface!). To find and participate in these chats, simply use the hashtag at the designated time (posted times are Eastern Time, USA).
These are in a Q&A format, so the hosts post a question – usually on a particular subject, such as urban travel – which participants answer about their travel tips, experiences or even dreams.
Be sure and use the hashtag in your posts so it shows up in the thread.
