Say, Is That My Star On The Walk Of Fame!?
When I was in Los Angeles, as I was for part of my West Coast tour, I just HAD to go to Hollywood.
And that meant taking in one of the city’s hot tourist spots, Hollywood Blvd., the famous land of celebrities and celebrity imitators. My wife Kim and I went there to see if anybody recognized us, being the TropRock celebrates we are, of course.
Walking the Hollywood Hall of Fame, I found my star. Yes! Ha.
Tours buses abounded. I think everyone on board was gawking at me. Hey, is that TMZ? Are they looking to interview me? I won’t shy away from them.
We found all all kinds of crazy characters. Including some who are really crazy!
We walked across across the street to check out the souvenir shops. We must have gone to every shop In Hollywood.. Saw a t-shirt and yes, I won – Best Husband!
The architecture was amazing, especially at the theaters. Jimmy Kimmel Live is filmed here and legendary landmarks such as the Pantages Theater. It’s also home of the Dolby Theater where the Academy Awards are held each year.
And of course, there is the most famous of them all, the Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the famous place with the handprints and footprints of movie star legends and the top tourist place in Hollywood. I’ll have BOTH my handprints and footprints in there some day.
But not on this day. Kim and I had our “brush with fame” and headed back to the motorhome. What a great day.
