Eric Stone’s Big Party At Royal Sylvan Beach Yacht Club On Payette Lake In McCall Idaho

I slept in a little as I’ve been on the go for days now.
We had to meet Pat Armstrong down at Silvan Beach on Payette Lake to drop off the PA system and scope out the set up and layout of the venue. It was a beautiful place for a party. Right in the sand and they had set up an Easy-Up Tent for me with some plywood on the sand to protect my gear. Everyone helped load out the gear, which I appreciated.
After we dropped everything off we needed to get some grocery’s so we hit Albertson’s and then Ace Hardware so I could get a new power strip. it was lunchtime so we stopped at McCall Brewing Company. They are a class act. Great beer selection and the food is always good.

I got a flight of beers on a wooden tray in the shape of Idaho. My favorite would have to be the Hippy Hopped Pale Ale.I also got the Wobbly Man Bacon Burger and cut it into 4ths as usual to make my own sliders. (This is your PubClub.com Travel Tip Of The Day and you’re welcome!)
After lunch we made quick stop to check out the McCall RV Resort. Holy crap! It’s a little sliceof paradise. We were both completely blow away by it. We’ve been boondocking in McCall for more than a month and thought we might grab a week at the park. I think we will do it. It’s not overpriced for what you get. In fact it’s really reasonable cost spidering they are right next to a resort town. $700 per month. $269 per week it $52 per night if my memory serves me well.
We headed to Sylvan Beach for the party. Turns out the Royal Sylvan Yacht Club has been in existence for more than five years. Its members started it over a drink on the beach many moons ago. The original commodore died so they pay homage to him by having a boat parade where the stand-in commodore salutes the boats as they go by the dock.
They have a silent auction and raise money for charity. Some of the wealthiest people form McCall were at the party. I’m talking old money. You know, like the Simplots. One of the biggest, if not the biggest cattle ranchers and farmers in the country. They supply all the beef and potatoes McDonalds. Are you getting my drift?
I shook hands with all of them and they really dig my music. They party was perfect and they all helped me load my gear back into my Rav4. These are classy people y’all! Good people!
