Britain’s Vote To Leave EU Could Impact Travel Prices

So what does this mean for travelers to Britain?
Initially it’s too early to tell for the long term but for the present, if the dollar, Euro and other currency jumps in value in relation to the British Pound, then it’s time to pounce on traveling to that country.
You could now perhaps travel to Britain for less money than in decades. Plus, with widespread panic happening, hotels, tour operators and perhaps even airlines will start pricing things at bargain prices. This would relate in further savings.
It’s doubtful, however, that the price of a pint in a pub will be affected, although the pubs could be more crowded now with a lot of people going to them to discuss the impact of the vote. That means the pubs could be quite lively places in London and throughout the country, making them a great travel destination.
The best thing to do right now is to check the price of flights, the cost of hotel rooms (including sites like Airbnb) and find out what the value of your country’s currency is to the British Pound.
Keep an eye on things the next few days – this happened on a Friday in London so the financial markets will be closed on the weekend – and in coming weeks and continue to monitor the situation.
The financial market thrives on panic and reaction and the initial response is panic. After time – a few days, a few weeks, certainly a month – things will most definitely settle down to what will be a “normal” level.
Savvy travelers could well turn what Shadow chancellor John McDonnell MP called “people will be waking up this morning to turmoil,” into a travel boom for the country.
