International DJ Darius Syrossian Ibiza-Style Party Not Coming To Halcyon Nightclub

President Trump’s travel immigration ban has now hit the USA’s nightlife industry.
International DJ Darius Syrossian has been forced to cancel his appearance at Halcyon nightclub in San Francisco on Feb. 18, due to the ongoing effects of the ban.
Syrossian was due to headline his own Do Not Sleep party, a California debut for the renowned Ibiza party brand. However, due to his Iranian roots he found himself banned from traveling to the US. The travel ban has since been lifted, but with President Trump pursuing all avenues to reinstate it as quickly as possible, Syrossian and Halcyon agreed that Canadian DJ Carlo Lio should step in and replace him at the Do Not Sleep event.
“Although I am a British Citizen, passport holder, and the holder of a U.S., work permit, I was born in Tehran, Syrossian said. Due to the current changing rules surrounding entry allowances, my travel may be subject to serious problems when I arrive in the USA.
“As such I unfortunately cannot commit to any bookings in America during this time . However I encourage everyone go and support the event at Halcyon in my absence.
“Music conquers all.”
Halcyon SF nightclub manager Gina Milano released this statement: “We were so sad to have to take Darius off the bill for his debut Do Not Sleep Party in SF, he is an exciting name and incredible talent to have in our city.
“However, he had to make a decision which will ensure the party can still go ahead for our clubbing community. Music is something that brings people of all races and cultures together and we will welcome Darius to San Francisco on another date as soon as possible.”
Do Not Sleep at Halcyon SF will continue as planned, with the legendary Carlo Lio now taking the reins and doing an almighty five-hour b2b set with Nathan Barato, all night long. Carlo & Nathan are a huge part of the Do Not Sleep Ibiza brand, meaning the party will be sure to hold the famous Do Not Sleep atmosphere with a bit of a San Francisco twist.
