Los Angeles Airport Allowing Ride Sharing Pickups & Dropoffs

Los Angeles International Airport is the USA’s largest airport to allow ride-sharing companies like Uber and Lyft to pick up passengers.
But here’s two things to know about it, and one is good while the other mirrors the same situation with the cabs.
The drivers must pick up people from the upper departures level – which is what PubClub.com does anyway when picking up visiting friends because it’s much less congested than the lower arrivals level – and pay a $4 fee. That will no doubt be added to your fare. It’s the same when you take a cab; you’re immediately hit with this surcharge.
That $4 fee also applies to ride-sharing companies delivering passengers to LAX. So keep that in mind, as well.
PubClub.com is not sure what this will mean for fares but cabs from LAX are expensive.
It’s nearly $30 to Manhattan Beach – a mere 5 or so miles from the airport – and a whopping $60+ to Long Beach.
So any alternative is good for people traveling from LAX.
