Las Vegas is one of the ultimate party destinations. The city is known for its shimmering neon lights and colorful nightlife. Many tourists come here with a single thought on their mind: to have fun at casinos. However, the place wouldn’t be so popular if it had nothing else to offer visitors.
Natural wonders
Let’s not forget that what shines so bright now used to be a vast space in an empty desert. The remnants of older days are the beautiful natural sights around the city that we can admire. Most natural phenomena are just a day’s trip away from the center of entertainment. Being this close to the famous Grand Canyon, it should be tempting to cross that dangling position off your bucket list.
Various other marvelous sights to see are located around numerous parks and similar areas such as Joshua Tree National Park, Valley of Fire State Park, Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, Mount Charleston, or Lake Mead. You can hitchhike, bike, or gaze in awe from a car, as long as it’s not a restricted area.
People and shows
Regardless of whether the casino entertainment is your cup of tea, it’s still the main reason people come to Las Vegas. And famous people visit it as well. Therefore, if an occasional brush with a celebrity is of any interest to you, you might reconsider visiting some of the most famous houses of games. The elementary knowledge of things like basic poker tactics, the idea behind a blackjack, the best roulette strategy, or which slots machines to choose would help make the experience more wholesome.
If you prefer something else, however, you can try to catch an exciting show. There is always something going on at those big casino resorts. In fact, live performances and quality entertainment are as big of a part of Sin City as gaming. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the rich nightlife the place has to offer. You will have a chance to dance the night away with superstars at the likes of Chateau Nightclub, Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub, or Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace.
Dinning and shopping
Being the world’s gambling capital, Las Vegas is more than prepared to welcome guests from all over. It also means appealing to different palates. There are many eateries around The Strip, so everybody should find something for themselves.
Unsurprisingly, very well represented are restaurants serving the most common type of cuisine: American, Italian, Mexican, steakhouse, also Chinese, Asian in general, seafood. Nevertheless, other places with more exotic dishes can be spotted, too.
The expected and unexpected
Finally, when on a vacation or weekend getaway, one could be looking at various ways to have some good fun. There is no shortage of opportunities in good old Vegas. The usual suspects involve the commonly recognizable attractions such as the fountains in front of Bellagio, The High Roller Ferris wheel, Gondola ride at The Venetian, Eiffel Tower, or Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.
Of course, there are popular museum destinations worth a visit, including the popular Liberace Museum and the Madame Tussauds, famous for the lifelike wax of significant figures and celebrities. You can take a picture with as many of them as you want. You can also take your pick of the litter from many wild activities that can range from driving exotic cars, playing golf at MGM Grand Hotel to the helicopter and hot-air balloon rides.
