Happy Holidays! And happy Holiday parties and events!
Before we get into all the hot happens for the holidays, let’s give a big PubClub cheers to today – the anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition!
It was on this date in 1933 that the Twenty-First Ammendment went into effect, ending the Eighteenth Ammendment, which was passed in 1919. The Prohibition Era in American was an interesting time. It gave rise to speakies, flappers and the jazz, women going out to drink and smugglers and gangsters. What is really interesting is that when Prohibition ended, it was actually more difficult for some to get alcohol than it was duirng Prohibition.
It also turned a sleepy town on the Mexican border into a land of debauchery, a reputation it still has to this day.
PubClub really dove into it all this year and researched how Prohibition shaped today’s nightlife in the U.S. (more signficantly that you may realize) and where Southern Californians and celebrities of the day went to escape Prohibition, a place and time that also gave rise to the Ceasers salad.

This is an awesome time for PubClubbers around the world. We have all the hottest and most fun events with dates and deets. 12 Bars Of Christmas Is This Friday
Okay South Bay peeps. One of the most anticipated weekends of the year is upon us and it starts with the traditional 12 Bars of Christmas and Toy Drive pub crawl. But first things first, right!? PubClub has all the deets you need to know about the 12 Bars pub crawl, including the bars and drink specials. The fine folks who run it don’t finalize all the bars untl Thursday but that doesn’t matter because the below link contains the most important thing you need to know about it.

Along with Smackfest, this is one of the two biggest events of the year in the South Bay Beach Cities. You all know the drill but just in case here’s a look:

KISS Avatar Concerts
If you’re not seen the KISS avatar band, which will soon be giving concerts, we have a video of it from the hot rockers. Last weekend they played their last concerts in person at Madison Square Garden. The video is on the PubClub home page.
