The Tide Is On A Roll With It’s Amazing Quarterback

Alabama fans are taking great pleasure in watching Tua Tagovailoa play for their Crimson Tide.
He is leading the team to unprecedented offensive heights to the point it’s reached ridiculous levels. Tagovailoa has Tiders slapping their thighs when he makes another incredible throw and is sparking countless comments along the lines of “can you believe that one!?”
Followed by laughter and a big “Roll Tide.”
Alabama fans are stunned when he doesn’t lead the team to a touchdown. Heck, they are surprised when he throws an incompletion.
But here’s the problem.
With scores of 48-14 or whatever at halftime, the fans want Tua to take to the bench in the second half. They don’t want to see him get hurt. That thought scares them more than facing LSU, Georgia, Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan or whatever else college football can throw at the team.
This has created the great irony that has Bama fans cheering for Tua and touchdowns and reveling in every moment of it, but then not wanting to see the quarterback play in the second half so he does not get hurt. It also means that Alabama has put the game away and there’s no need to go into “fan panic” mode – you know the feeling Ohio State fans.
And while some fans want the team to roll up 60+ points, the more realistic ones are even saying “okay, that’s enough” and get back to their Jack & Cokes and Dreamland Ribs.
At the same time, they are hoping this trend continues, that Tua leads Alabama to huge first-half advantages that he’s not needed in the second half. That likely won’t happen against LSU but with Tagovailoa is pretty much seems the impossible is possible.
