Sparty’s Incredible Win Over Michigan A Play For The Ages

The Michigan State Miracle is the talk of college football the day after the incredible ending resulted in a 27-23 win over arch-rival Michigan.
The ending was so stunning it instantly had people comparing it to the greatest college football finishes of all time – Doug Flutie’s pass to beat Miami, the Kick Six from Alabama-Auburn and every Hail Mary ever thrown. Including one by Colorado in 1004 that beat Michigan in this same stadium.
It was such an incredible finish that a fan was taken to the hospital afterward after apparently suffering a heart attack.
Twitter Can’t Believe It Either
This Tweet from ESPN says it all – “DID THAT JUST HAPPEN!?”

Yes it did, even though if you were watching live you had to rub your eyes and pinch yourself to make sure what you saw was real. Michigan, 10 seconds away from getting a monumental victory in the Big House in Head Coach Jim Harbaugh’s first season, bobbled a simple punt snap, had the ball land right in the hands of a Michigan State player who improbably took it into the end zone at the clock expired. It is a play that is being shown on all the Sunday sports shows, one replayed on social media and in newspapers across the country. And it will be shown over and over and over again and discussed all week – particularly on the many ESPN college football shows – all week, all season, all off-season and for years in the future. Yes, it DID happen! Wow.
