Fans Can Put The Routines & The Superstitions Behind Us And Relax. Until Next Fall

The 2020 college football season is over, and that means I can finally have my Saturdays back again.
You see, Saturdays for a rabid college football fan are pre-determined events. There is a routine, a schedule and – of course – the usual rituals, all of which must be done with the preciseness of a marching band.
I dress the same every week – same shirt, same shorts with the school’s logo on them and the same socks – down to the underwear. (My sister things I’m like the guy in the Dr. Pepper commercial whose “lucky shorts” got shrunk in the laundry.)
But not anymore.
I can open up the closet door and wear whatever fits my fancy. I can take my time to do things without rushing through a shower and rushing to the remote. There’s more waking up on Saturday mornings to see Corso’s headgear picks, stressing over this week’s opponent and being glued to the TV all day and into the night hoping other ranked teams lose.
Most importantly, I can relax!
And it’s the same way with college football fans across the country.
So now I can go for runs in the warm morning sunshine, bike rides in the afternoon, work on more PubClub.com posts and go to a restaurant and bar other than the one showing my school’s games.
As The Pigskin Prognosticator making weekly wacky picks, I can say goodbye to the Pachyderms, the Felines, the Mullenheads and the Nuts .
Until the start of the 2021 season, of course.
