Chiefs To Roll, Cowboys To Bounce Back And Still Confidence In Tom Brady

The NFL is underway and play in Week 1 was surprisingly crisp, considering there were no preseason games (maybe those aren’t such a good idea after all) and all the COVID-19 precautions.
And while some things are odd just beyond seeing coaches and referees in masks, few to no fans in the stands, Washington being referred to as “team” rather than its customary nickname and “Las Vegas” in front of the Raiders, some things remain the same.
Such as: the Jets still stink. The Browns are still the Browns. The Lions can’t get out of their own way. The Cowboys are due, once again, to underachieve. The Chiefs are very good and are going to tough to beat.
With all that in mind, here are my week two picks and why I made them.

Last week, I put too much trust in Minnesota – the result of listening to some pundits who predicted a Super Bowl run for the Vikings despite knowing never listen to those “experts” on TV – and not enough in Aaron Rodgers. After all, last year, Rodgers had some pretty awful games. Last Sunday he looked relaxed. I apparently failed to take into account that’s probably because he’s no longer sharing a house with Danica Patrick.
The Chargers might have a defense, but they just don’t have an offense, so nothing has really changed from recent years.
Philip Rivers still struggles with key interceptions.
Are the Falcons that bad!? Figuring the Cowboys will wake up back in Jerry’s World, I put a lot of confidence points on them this week.
Yes, that’s 1o confidence points against the Pats. Just don’t have a lot of confidence in Cam Newton.
I still have confidence in Tom Brady. Just not so much on the team around him.
