Ravens To Top Chiefs In The Weekend’s Highlight Matchup

Week 3 of the NFL season has one marquee matchup and several dog games.
Still, they are playing and that’s more than you can say for the Big 10 and Pac-12 in college football, right?
Here’s my picks for this week followed by why I picked these winners and losers.
Game# | Visitor | Home | Your Pick | Conf. Pts |
1 | Miami Dolphins | Jacksonville Jaguars | JAC (home) | 11 |
2 | Chicago Bears | Atlanta Falcons | ATL (home) | 4 |
3 | Los Angeles Rams | Buffalo Bills | BUF (home) | 3 |
4 | Washington Fb Team | Cleveland Browns | CLE (home) | 1 |
5 | Tennessee Titans | Minnesota Vikings | TEN (visitor) | 2 |
6 | Las Vegas Raiders | New England Patriots | NE (home) | 8 |
7 | San Francisco 49ers | New York Giants | SF (visitor) | 16 |
8 | Cincinnati Bengals | Philadelphia Eagles | PHI (home) | 15 |
9 | Houston Texans | Pittsburgh Steelers | PIT (home) | 12 |
10 | New York Jets | Indianapolis Colts | IND (home) | 13 |
11 | Carolina Panthers | Los Angeles Chargers | LAC (home) | 7 |
12 | Detroit Lions | Arizona Cardinals | ARZ (home) | 6 |
13 | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Denver Broncos | TAM (visitor) | 5 |
14 | Dallas Cowboys | Seattle Seahawks | SEA (home) | 14 |
15 | Green Bay Packers | New Orleans Saints | NO (home) | 10 |
16 | Kansas City Chiefs | Baltimore Ravens | BAL (home) | 9 |
Leading off, Miami vs. Jacksonville, two bad teams. So I’m going with the mustache. Unless the Fins take the plunge and play Tua – then it’s likely to be Fins Up.
Surely the Bears can’t win three in a row.
Surely the Rams can’t win three in a row. Even against Buffalo.
Cleveland Browns – well why not?
The Raiders don’t have the consistency to perform the way they did on Monday night. Plus, they are’t opening a stadium in Las Vegas.
The Giants are pathetic and the 49ers could be them by fielding their practice squad.
I can never understand why the Eagles let Nick Foles go because Carson Wentz is not a winning quarterback. So they deserve what they get, tho this week they will get the “W.”
This is less of a pick of confidence in the Steelers than it is doubt about the Texans.
The Jets are in the same league as the Giants. Which is to say not in the caliber of real NFL teams.
Not much confidence in either of these teams but the Chargers are at what they call home.
Are the Cardinals for real? It’s too early to tell but one thing is for certain: the Lions are still the Lions.
Tampa Bay at Denver: This is a Tom Brady pick.
The Cowboys are heading for yet another year of inflated expectations.
The Saints always have a few flat games of the year where their offense looks incapable of moving the ball, which happened last week, then they bounce back with prolific production the next 3-4 weeks.
In the weekend’s biggest game, even without a crowd, I’m giving the Ravens the home-field advantage.
