Analysis Of This Week’s Picks
Arizona at Seattle. The Seahawks should prevail in a thriller, but only three confidence points show my lack of confidence in the Ocean Birds.
Atlanta at New Orleans. Folks in the Big Easy got two pieces of bad news this week: Drew Brees has fractured ribs and Mardi Gras was canceled. So why do I think they will beat the Falcons. Because they will be having their rally Hurricanes, that’s why!
Cincinnati at Washington. It’s hard to pick that Washington team to win any games at this point.
Detroit at Carolina. With Christian McCaffery out, the Panthers just don’t have the offense to beat many teams, even the Lions.
New England at Houston. This is a lost season for the Texans. Wha a waste of Deshawn Watson, too. If I were the coach, I would look at films from Clemson and say to him “do that!”
Philadelphia at Cleveland. Just couldn’t pick Cleveland for some reason. Maybe because it’s Cleveland. And the Eagles are due for a win, or at least to play decent for a change.
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville. The Steelers are certain to lose soon. Just not to the Jaguars.
Tennessee at Baltimore. The Titans will win – if the coach doesn’t get too cute with the play calling like last week and just feeds the beast.
Miami at Denver. Kind of am leaning to Denver but the Broncos can’t keep up with Tua.
NY Jets at Chargers. Now if the Chargers can’t beat the Jets, they should just turn in their jerseys for the season.
Dallas at Minnesota. The Vikings are on a roll! Well, beating the Bears is no great accomplishment and beating the Cowboys won’t be, either.
Green Bay at Indy. This is a mismatch. Unless the Pack has one of their “er, where’s the offense” games, which happens twice a year. It’s already happened once.
Kansas City at Las Vegas. The Chiefs should triumph in this long-time old AFL rivalry.
LA Rams at Tampa Bay. There’s some trouble brewing by the bay in Tampa, but it won’t be in the fermentation process just yet against the Lams.
