Cold For Kansas City-Tennessee; Los Angeles Sunny And Warm

With this winter blast putting half the country into a deep freeze, the first round of the NFL Playoffs – Wild Card weekend – will escape much of the bad weather that has snow and below-freezing temperatures as far as the Deep South.

Here’s a rundown of the four games on Saturday and Sunday. All times ET.

Saturday’s Wild Card Weekend Games Weather Conditions

Tennessee at Kansas City (4:20 p.m., ESPN)

This will be the worst weather of all the games. Game-time temperature will be around 30 degrees, with it dropping into the mid-20s by the end of the game. At least there will be no show. It’s to be mostly sunny with just a few clouds, tho a front is moving in that will soak the city all day Sunday. If it moves in early, the conditions would go from bearable to miserable.

Atlanta at LA Rams (8:15 p.m., NBC)

Not every day is warm and sunny in L.A. Especially in January. This game kicks off just after sunset on the West Coast and this desert climate will cool down from a perfect tailgate temperature of around 70 to a very cool 55 for the game. If you’re going to the game, be sure and read PubClub’s LA Rams tailgating guide.

Sunday’s Wild Card Weekend Games Weather Conditions

• Buffalo at Jacksonville (1:15 p.m., CBS)

Like Kansas City, Jax escapes the rain by a day. On Sunday, it will be cloudy and cool. The game high temperature will be in the upper 40s, dropping into the lower 40s by the end of the game. The low that night will be in the 30s.

• Carolina at New Orleans (4:40 p.m., FOX)

The weather for the game doesn’t matter because the game is played inside the Superdome, but it sure does for partying before and afterward on Bourbon Street. So expect cloudy skies (but not rain) with a high of 64 and a low in the mid-50s.
