Upcoming Sports Events To Attend In Arizona

April and May are two of the best and most event-filled months for Arizona sports fans.

The NBA’s Phoenix Suns and NHL’s Arizona Coyotes are both winding down their 2022-23 regular seasons and gearing up for the postseason.

And in just a couple of weeks, the Arizona Diamondbacks will kick off their 2023 Major League Baseball season. So there’s plenty of action to follow across the Arizona landscape in the coming weeks. This also means more sports betting opportunities for Arizonans.

From AI-powered analytics to mobile-friendly sportsbook apps, Arizona tech is changing the game for sports betting enthusiasts. Don’t miss out on the latest promo codes and discounts. This includes $200 in bonus bets from DraftKings if you bet $5 plus a first bet of up to $1,250 from Caesars if you sign up now.

With that all said, let’s dive into some of the top upcoming sporting events to attend throughout the state of Arizona.

Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors (Mar. 22)

The Suns have been one of basketball’s hottest teams of the second half, and they look poised to qualify for the postseason for the second time in three years.

Barring a historic collapse over the final months, the Suns will finish as a top-four seed in the Western Conference and secure home advantage in the opening round.

Phoenix will have the opportunity to make another statement when they host the Western Conference’s top team in the Golden State Warriors, who are led by MVP candidate Stephen Curry.

The Suns and Warriors will meet at Phoenix Suns Arena on Mar. 22 at 7:00 p.m. MST. This is a crucial game for both teams as they jockey for playoff positioning.

Phoenix and Golden State have split their two meetings earlier this season, with each team winning on their home court. Can the Suns defend their home court and take control of the season series?

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Diego Padres (Apr. 3)

The Diamondbacks are coming off a disappointing 2022 season and will look to bounce back in 2023.

The team made some big offseason acquisitions, including signing shortstop Carlos Correa to a lucrative deal. With a revamped roster, the Diamondbacks will look to make a run in the NL West.

Arizona will open its season against the San Diego Padres at Chase Field on Apr. 3 (1:10 p.m. MST). This will be the first of a three-game set between the two divisional rivals. Expect ace pitcher Madison Bumgarner to get the nod in this one.

The Diamondbacks will need a strong start to the season if they hope to compete in the NL West. Can they get off to a good start against a tough Padres team?

Arizona Coyotes vs. Vegas Golden Knights (Apr. 8)

The Coyotes are unlikely to make the playoffs this season, but they will look to play spoiler down the stretch.

The team has shown some promise this season, with young players like Conor Garland and Jakob Chychrun leading the way. The Coyotes will look to build on that promise heading into the offseason.

Arizona will host the Vegas Golden Knights at Gila River Arena on Apr. 8 (7:00 p.m. MST). This will be the final meeting between the two teams this season. Can the Coyotes pull off the upset and play spoiler to the Golden Knights’ playoff hopes?

Regardless of the outcome, Coyotes fans can look forward to watching their young team develop and grow in the coming years.
