How To Fill Our You Bracket, MTSU A Potential Bracket Buster, Top Destinations & The PubClub.com Cheer

Okay, so we know you don’t know your Mount St. Mary’s from your UC Davis, or one directional school (Middle Tennessee State) from another (East Tennessee State) or even anything about a double-directional school (North Carolina Central).
But we do know the only reason you care is that March Madness is upon us, the wild, best-four-days-in-sports NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
But what to do when picking your picking your bracket? Where to go to watch your bracket falling apart like a broken relationship?
Not to worry PubClub.com has created this ultimate guide to March Madness with tips on filling your your bracket, top March Madness destinations and what to do when your teams both win and lose. It’s all a matter of survival.
March Madness Tip #1 – Filling Out Your Bracket
It is impossible, of course, to pick every game but the key is to zero in on the potential upsets. Usually a 5, 6 or 7 seed is going to be the most vulnerable but there’s going to be a 4 going town to a 12.
Likely traditional upset victims are Arizona, Kansas and even North Carolina. Duke isn’t as good as in the past but the Dukies always find a way to win, at least to the Sweet 16 and maybe the Elite 8. Don’t expect UCLA to make a Final Four run; Lorenzo Ball may have an injured (non-shooting) thumb and unless the team gets out running the fast break, it’s half-court offense is just okay. Gonzaga, well it’s hard to put this untested team much past the Sweet 16.
If you’re looking for an early unknown bracketbuster, the aforementioned Middle Tennessee State, which beat Vanderbilt earlier this year, is one to favor.
All this being said, don’t overanalyze your picks. Grab some drinks and fill out your bracket while you’re downing beers or cocktails. If that strategy turns out not to be effective, at least you’ve got the handy excuse of “well, hey, I was drinking when I made my picks!”
March Madness Tip #2 – Top March Madness Party Destinations
If you want to be in the middle of madness for March Madness, head to Vegas. The sports books are packed with fans who are doing more than cheering for an office bracket; they are cheering on bets, many with serious money. Those who win money are out spending it on the town, too. Vegas is a huge destination for men this weekend, so ladies you can have a field day! Certainly the hookers feel that way; they fill up Southwest Airlines planes from Los Angeles on Friday afternoon and swarm the town like college players do for a lose ball.
Another good place to be is Indianapolis, host city of the first two rounds of games. This is a basketball hotbed and downtown Indy has several cool bars to walk to after (or heck, before or during) the games.
March Madness Tip #3 – Watch The Games In Sports Bars
If travel is not in your plans, then watch the games at a sports bar. Everyone there will be into the games, tossing their brackets in the air, cheering, celebrating and showing emotions of agony, often at the same time as last-second shots either swish through the net or roll around the rim and fall to the floor.
It’s one of the great scenes of American sports of the year. So be there for it!
And keep in mind that Friday is also St. Patrick’s Day!
March Madness Tip #4 – Check Your Ego At The Door
Don’t brag if you win a few games. If you have one outstanding day and win every single buzzer-beater, don’t be beating your chest in front of others at your accomplishment. March Madness is a great equalizer; the next day you could lose every single game.
March Madness Tip #5 – Win Or Lose, We Booze!
No matter what happens with your teams and brackets, remember to always keep the PubClub.com cheer in mind. It’s “Win Or Lose, We Booze.”
That THAT folks, is the best way to survive March Madness.
