Square One In City Center Being Transformed Into A Summer Dance Party

A new outdoor club is opening in Square One in Manchester’s city center this summer that the promotors say “is for the dancers, a new venue with no-nonsense.
“Summer is coming and the dance floor is ready.”
It is scheduled to open on June 26 with Denis Sulta, Enzo Siragusa and Hot Since 82 playing at the launch party. This is if current COVID-19 plans hold true as more people get vaccinated and cases fall from the levels that caused pretty much all of the pubs and clubs throughout England to close for more than a year.
The Manchester Evening News reported that “other events set to take place here this summer will include parties from Zutekh, Jika Jika, Animal Crossing and Amsterdam based label PIV debuting their first ever showcase in Manchester.
“Square One will be located in a car park on Cakebread Street, a short distance from Freight Island at Depot Mayfield, the huge outdoor food and drink destination that was built with social distancing in mind last summer.
“It’s not the first time Mancs (Manchester locals) have been known to party in a car park, with the Warehouse Project’s former ‘spiritual home’ a car park space on Store Street.”
Tickets and the lineup can be found on the Square One website, squareonemcr.com,
So if COVID numbers continue to drop and bars are allowed to reopen, it will be a summer of dancing not in the street but in a car park for Mancs and visitors to the city.
