Starting in July, travelers with a Eurail Pass can board European Sleeper trains between Brussels and Berlin with eight stops along the way including Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Deventer. On June 1, travelers began including the latest night train on their rail adventure by booking a seat reservation directly via the European Sleeper website.
:”We are delighted to welcome European Sleeper to our membership roster offering travelers the opportunity to experience central Europe by night train with a Eurail or Interrail Pass,” said Eurail CEO Carlo Boselli.
Chris Engelsman, European Sleeper Co-founder said, “we are very happy to welcome Interrail and Eurail pass holders on board our night trains. European Sleeper is a typical train for Interrailers. We connect three European capitals, offer a wide range of comfort levels and (last but not least) we reintroduce the possibility to enjoy the summer breeze from an open window. Being a true European railway, we consider this partnership a great way to promote the most remarkable and responsible way to travel across Europe.”
The partnership reinforces the resurgence of sleeper trains and the role rail plays as the future of sustainable travel in Europe. Eurail has played a significant role in the resurgence of rail travel’s popularity in recent years after launching its mobile Pass in 2020. In 2022 it had a record year with more than 980,000 train travelers.
European Sleeper plans to expand its service yearly and aims to reach Dresden and Prague as early as spring 2024.
