Top Chef & Winemaker Paired Together On The Central California Coast

When a top area chef and winemaker get together to put on an event, you can count on it being something special, and the Carmel-By-The-Glass event is just that, indeed, in Carmel, CA.

Chef Rich Pepe of Vesuvio restaurant and winemaker Jack Galante (Galante wines, and his wife runs Dawn’s Dream) put on this event twice a year and  the 2016 Holiday Party is Friday, Dec. 9.

Held at the historic La Playa Hotel, the dynamic duo of  this California’s Central Coast community team up to showcase Carmel as a wine destination and to raise funds for the restoration of the Carmel Mission Basilica.

Tickets are $75 and include all wine and food, which is comprised of a series of appetizers. The event runs from 5-8 p.m. While it’s always good to get tickets in advance, they are usually available at the door for the same price. The event is limited to the first 300 people who buy tickets.

The venue is a 1905 mansion on a residential street in Carmel, a 5-10 minute walk from the heart of the village as well as the beach.

The summertime Carmel-By-The-Glass wine & food event is July 10; tickets for that event are available in mid-December. That’s a fiesta garden party.
