Upon Further Review: Is There Indisputable Video Evidence Of What Really Happened Last Night?

Imagine having football instant replay available in your dating and nightlife adventures. Someone denies saying something at a bar? Throw the challenge flag! A questionable decision after a few cocktails? Send it to the replay booth. Upon further review, having indisputable video evidence of our party lives might be entertaining. Or downright embarrassing.
You know how in sports – particularly in the NFL and college football – there’s a thing known as “indisputable video evidence.” It’s a product of instant replay and requires that the replay officials have clear evidence to overturn the call on the field.
And while it’s fine for football (although the time to look for that video evidence takes too long and slows down the flow of the game), what if we had it in everyday life? Worse yet, what if we had it when drinking? In bars trying to pick up other single people?
It would likely not be good for our social lives, or most certainly our egos.
Can you imagine if there were “indisputable video evidence” to verify all the things you denied happening while drunk?
• “I never said THAT!” Your girlfriend (or wife) throws the red flag and it goes to the replay.
• “I wasn’t that drunk.” The bruises on your arm and cut on the forehead suggest otherwise. Your friends check the video. Most likely, it would reveal you were not only drunk but were really drunk and walked into a fence.
• “That cute girl I was talking to last night was really into me!” Er, she was actually making faces to her friends when your head was turned.
• “The girl I took home from the bar last night was smokin’ hot.” Uh oh. You don’t even want to think about a video to show this is not true.
On the flip side, just as in sports, indisputable video evidence could prove beneficial from time to time.
What about those times you do actually take home a smokin’ hot girl? Your friends are never around for those; they only the mediocre and ugly ones. With instant replay, you could show them your great conquest.
Or how many times after several drinks have you met a girl, gotten her phone number, and forgotten who she is and what she looks like when you see her number in your phone? Wouldn’t you like to be able to call the replay booth?
So upon further review, having indisputable video evidence might not be such a bad thing after all.
