A famous burning man group since 2001, Disorient is building an innovative electronic dance music environment with visual and performance art, the Burning Man way.
This is the live music stage at DECOM featuring local Burner Bands including: TV Broken, 3rd eye open, Shakey Feelin, Paracosmic, Soul Catalyst w/ Noble, Boostive, Brion Shearer, RHYNE, and BipolArte.
The Festival’s largest musical stage installation, Mystikal Misfits will launch their performance with their traditional chant of “Nåårsførtên” before Alexander Polinsky, Mixta, Grease Withaspoon, Kerry Bo Berry, Fuzzwald and The Rabbit, Small Talk, Dances with Goats, Bamboom, Squachek, and Lokidoki perform original music that can be heard on iTunes, Stitcher, TuneIn Radio and Sound Cloud.
This is the place for SoCal musical robots to come and battle it out in front of enormous rear projections and interactive shadow plays. A smashing good time!
Organized by Tupa (Michael Tupa Engel) IgNight features fire spinners, fire jugglers, fire breathers, everything fire. This will be the largest fire performance in all of Los Angeles!
Some of Burning Man’s most innovative camps are coming to DECOM this year including: Awesome Town, where you can meet your favorite cereal character come to life; The Bubble Lounge, where you can get a free quickie body scrub;, Smores and Amore, The Merry Mad Tea Party, People United for Nothing, Venice Beach Drum Circle, Nebulosity and more.
You can’t miss Xusa, an enormous truck that’s been converted into a huge art sculpture featuring a “Mad Max” skeleton that generates millions of bubbles creating an enormous foam party. Other vehicles include MOD POD, the SolorSonic GreenMachine, and Heuristicus.
The 20-acre Festival will be filled with a glowing, extravagantly costumed crowd of burners and other creative characters and many more incredible, colorful craive characters.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 cash at the door. A number of ATMs will be set up at the gate. No re-entry after 6 pm. Children under 12 are free. Enjoy a cash bar, food trucks, performances on seven stages.
Attendees are encouraged to take the Metro since the park is located next to the Gold Line Chinatown Metro Station. There will be paid parking available at the State Park. Ride sharing and mobile car services are encouraged.
