Brighter Dayz Are Ahead As DTLA’s Boomtown Brewery Re-Opens Doors

Downtown Los Angeles Brewpub Introduces New Craft Beer And Social Distancing Rules

It’s been dark days for many of late, but Brighter Dayz are here at Boomtown Brewery, a craft brewing company in downtown Los Angeles.

You see, not only are the brewery doors open again, but it has a new craft beer called Brighter Dayz. That’s the mane of the beer as part of the brewery’s renowned canned artist series.

Brighter Dayz was created with artist Bunnie Reiss  and a portion of all sales going to Ghetto Film School, a non-profit founded to educate, develop and celebrate the next generation of great American storytellers.

As for the brewery itself, it is open five nights a week and until midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and there are a lot of safety rules in place.

For starters, you must make a reservation to enter and your stay is maxed out at two hours. You must also order food with your beer, your temperature will be taken when you enter and you must wear a mask whenever you are not eating or drinking.

“Boomtown Brewery, like just about everyone else in the entire world, has been feeling the impact of many heavy life moments in recent months,” said Boomtown’s managing partner John Rankin.

“From the shuttering of our beloved tap room during the quarantine due to a worldwide pandemic, to the wrongful death of George Floyd and the ensuing worldwide heartache and anger from the institutional racism felt by so many, there has been much to reflect on and many changes yet to be made.  Seeing the world band together and step up to fight both of these diseases and look out for one another has been inspiring to say the least.  While there is still a long road ahead of us, we feel we can see glimpses of hope and Brighter Dayz ahead.”

Boomtown Brewery Operating Hours:

• Wednesday and Thursday: 4-10 p.m.
• Friday: 4 p.m. – midnight
• Saturday: Noon-midnight
• Sunday: Noon-7 p.m.
• Monday and Tuesday: Closed
