Local Rock/Blues Artist To Perform Songs From Her Latest CD At Live Music Bar
The passion that Shari “El” Puorto puts into her music is now being put into telling everyone in the South Bay that she’s having a release party to perform her new CD.
The release party is Saturday, Dec. 5, at Standing Room in Hermosa Beach. It starts at 9 p.m. There is no cover charge.
The CD is called “MY Obsession” and it features one song she’s been performing around town of late called “Six Months Sober” about her being sober not from alcohol but from a man in a failed relationship. If the rest of the songs are this good – and this clever – then nobody will be standing at Standing Room.
In her own words, this what the night entails:
“This CD release party means so much to me, it’s hard to explain in writing.
“It has been about one year in the making and we’ve had ups, downs, laughter, dancing, head butting, frustrations, etc…oh, just about the whole range of feelings and emotions!
“All the tracks are close to my heart. My favorite song is about my shoe obsession, another one is about breaking away from a relationship and being “Six Months Sober,” and another is about my hometown street.
“I can’t wait to share these very special 11 original tracks at our show on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Standing Room in Hermosa Beach!
“I will also have some very special guests sitting in with me. You will see and hear aside from my amazing band – Frank Scarpelli, Mike Sauer, Jon Greathouse, John DePatie and on backup vocals, Julie Delgado and Kenna Ramsey.
“There’s also Joey Delgado, Jonathan Moffett (drummer Michael Jackson), Stanley Behrens (Canned Heat, WAR), Brophy Dale (Lee Rocker), possibly Jimmy Vivino, Mike Finnigan (Hendrix, Bonnie Raitt etc, etc…) and Bob Glaub (Jackson Brown, Springstein, Journey, Fogerty, etc etc) and many more!

This is Puorto’s fourth CD and will be available for purchase at the show.
She and her band play at venues all over the South Bay, at single social events like the Fiesta Hermosa beer garden and the Redondo Beach Lobsterfest, as well as at bars and music clubs throughout the Western U.S.
