Jimmy Kimmel is building a house in the Los Angeles beach city of Hermosa Beach that he purchased in 2018 for $8 million.
And it’s not on The Strand.
Instead, it appears to be – gasp! – east of Pacific Coast Highway at about 4th or 5th Street and is at least three bedrooms with pool.
Kimmell, popular talk show personality and host of the 95th Oscars in 2023, had previously purchased a duplex also located in Hermosa Beach in 2014 for $2.25 million, but ended up transferring the dead over to the sister of his wife, Molly McNearney.
He also purchased a separate, smaller Hermosa Beach location in 2004 for nearly $2.2 million a block away from the beach. It’s obvious that he really likes Hermosa, a small town known for its party scene with events such as Smackfest and the bars on and around Pier Ave.
Hermosa is also the primary home of this website’s video podcast PubClub LIVE!, which is at Tower 12 on Pier Ave.
And the price of the properties speaks to the high real estate prices in not just Hermosa Beach but the surrounding South Bay Beach Cities of Manhattan Beach to the north and Redondo Beach to the south.
