South Bay Singles & Sunshine At The Redondo Beach Bay Club

The clouds are parting for the second annual Beach Cities Beer & Wine Festival, Saturday, May 13, at Beach Club in Redondo Beach, CA.
After a week in which the Beach Cities have seen the weather change as often as a woman’s mind – sunny for five minutes, then dark with clouds, briefly sunny again, then windy and even raining – it appears as if all that is taking a break during the beer festival.
The forecast calls for a mostly sunny day and a “beer garden” temperature of 68 degrees.
Not exactly perfect but good beer-drinking weather for an outdoor event.
The Beach Cities Wine & Beer Festival has quickly become one of the most popular social events in the South Bay. It features about 50 craft beers and more than a dozen wines from California in a true South Bay setting: outdoors with a fun-loving and good-looking crowd.
The venue is the health club, Bay Club, on the northern end of King Harbor Marina. It’s held at the fenced-in outdoor recreation area of the club.
It is put on by Smackfest Events, which puts on the highly popular Smackfest beach volleyball tournament in Hermosa Beach and the Octoberfest beer festival at the Bay Club in October.
Just this week, organizers made a move to make this an even bigger party than the inaugural one, for they have added 100 tickets, which will increase the number of the people to 600. This is a highly sought-after event for South Bay singles, as the first 500 tickets sold out in a matter of days.
Tickets are $45, with a $10 food option, go to the Smackfest Events webpage.
