L.A’s Exclusive White Dinner To Take Place Oct. 12

But where is it? We don’t know, and even if you’re invited – there’s a registration process – you won’t know either. Until two hours before the event, anyway.
It’s Le Diner en Blanc – Los Angeles, and here’s everything you need to know about this very cool event.
WHAT: An elegant dinner party with your own friends plus strangers, held at a public location in Los Angeles, not divulged until two hours before the event. Popular at major cities around the world (as many as 15,000 attend some events), the Los Angeles version will have approximately 2,000 diners. They are all dressed white and must bring everything they need for the evening.
WHEN: The evening of Oct. 12.
WHERE: Somewhere in a public place in the Los Angeles area. Past events have been held in the Rose Garden by the LA Coliseum, outside the Pasadena City Hall and in the courtyard between the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and Mark Taper Forum in DTLA.
TICKETS: No tickets are required. You must register and be invited to attend.
HOW TO REGISTER: There are three phases of registration. Phase 1 is for members who attended the previous year; Phase 2 is for new members who are referred by Phase 1 attendees; and Phase 3 is for people who have signed up on the waiting list. Sign up at losangeles.dinerenblanc.com/register.
FOOD & DRINKS: For food, you can bring your own dinner or order in advance from one of Patina Caterings picnic baskets, curated exclusively for Le Dîner en Blanc Los Angeles. For drinks, it’s wine and champagne only. As per Los Angeles alcohol laws, people cannot bring their own alcohol. You can order wine or champagne in advance through the Dîner en Blanc’s e-store. Non-alcoholic beverages are okay.
WHAT TO WEAR: White. All white. You don’t have to dress up formally but it’s a nice, classy affair.
WHAT TO BRING: Your own table, chairs and table settings. In short, everything you need; nothing is supplied by the organizers.
WHAT TO LEAVE BEHIND: Nothing. You must even take your used napkins back with you.
AFTER THE DINNER: Have fun! There’s a DJ with dancing and mingling. It’s kind of like being at a wedding reception.
