This is your “hang out, hang loose” event. Topanga Canyon is L.A’s hippies hangout and that alone makes it a cool destination.
On Memorial Day Weekend, there’s a music, been & food festival – mostly music – on and around a baseball diamond.
There are five to six bands on two stages playing all day from 12:30-6 p.m. Venice, the band with Robbie Kreiger of The Doors, plays Sunday from 2-3:15.
This is a laid-back festival with beer and food booths and lots of Topanga Canyon-ish merchandise. While people do get up and dance by the main stage, it’s primarily an event to spread out a blanket for the day and enjoy the sunshine and live bands.
