DTLA Arts District Brewery Hosts Food & Beers Pairing

For dinner every day of the year…
– Jimmy Buffett, “Tin Cup Chalice”
Those song lyrics are because oysters and beer are a Florida thing, sitting at a rustic bar with a cold draft beer in a frosted mug wearing in flip flops and a tank top while looking at the ocean.
But that lifestyle – in a more refined way – is coming to California.
Boomtown Brewery, the Arts District brewhouse, is hosting an oyster dinner on Thursday, March 22 with Broad Street Oyster Co. It’s a little more formal, in a casual DTLA brewery kind of way, than what you’ll find in Florida but the principal is the same: putting together two great food & drink partners.
This aphrodisiac pairing (you know about oysters, right), featuring pairings of select Boomtown craft beers with varieties of oysters from Broad Street. The cost is $37.50.
Following a “welcoming beer” of the Brett Michael’s Sour Blonde, the three-course pairing consists of the following:
• Ico oysters with Gros Chat Salson
• Wellfleets oysters with Nose Job IPA
• Mookie Blue Oysters with After Hours Stout
Tickets are available here via Eventbright.
For dinner every day of the year
And I’ll feel fine, I’ll feel fine
