RB Pub & Eatery Comes Alive With Julian Frampton’s Performance

The Slip Comes Alive!
The appearance by the son of rock legend Peter Frampton playing at The Slip Bar & Eatery on the Redondo Beach (CA) Pier on a mid-August Wednesday did not exactly blow the roof off the place, but The Slip was definitely alive on this night.
Fun, lively and attractive locals (we mention this because it’s important to note these things on the otherwise bland personality that is the Redondo Beach Pier) packed the place. And they have another chance to do the same, as Julian is coming back here on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
And, most likely considering he lives in neighboring Hermosa Beach, another time in the futre.
Julian Frampton plays rock covers (tho none from his dad, at least on the night PubClub.com was there ) as part of an alternative rock duo, along with fellow musician Ben Sheridan.
Sheridan is a keyboardist and plays a mean Elton John, by the way.
The bar is trying to start a rumor – without actually starting a rumor – that senior will be sitting in for a few songs in a future set. Whoever is there starts at 8. Band-time of course.
Julian is easy recognizable by his hair alone but unlike his dad he doesn’t rely on a synthesizer to produce electronic sounds – Peter was doing EDM long before the genre was created – and the music at The Slip is more like folk singing.
Regardless of who is playing and singing, it’s live entertainment at this small joint on the Redondo Beach Pier in Redondo Beach, CA. The Slip is a kind of neighborhood drinking joint – click here for a review – in the Los Angeles South Bay Beach Cities.
The Slip has more than a dozen beers – mainly craft beers – on tap and it’s located on the lower level of the pier, between Naja’s and the outdoor seafood place (Qualiy Seafoods) across from the yellow rental paddle boats. It has live music mainly on weekends and is popular with many South Bay locals.
The Slip also has very good food – particularly the burgers and pizzas – so it’s an eatery as well as a bar.
