Why is that so much fun? Well, there’s a beer garden at the finish line and it fits the PubClub.com party mantra of “exercise and socialize.”
And to help maximize the experience for you, we proudly present five top tips so you have the proper etiquette in the beer garden. And a little beyond in the bars and house parties.
1.) Don’t Get To The Beer Garden Too Early
You only get two beers in the beer garden and you don’t want to go thru them too fast. Most of the fun party people take more than an hour to finish, which puts them in the beer garden around 9:30. It’s at its peak from about 9:45-10:45 and you want your beers when the beer garden is at its peak!
2.) Don’t Ask PubClub.com If We Can Get You Any More Beers
If PubClub is able to get more beers, they are for PubClub and not for you!
3.) Be Sure And Do The Big Group Cheers Holing Up Your Beers
A few times during the peak hour, a small group of people will start one of those low, rumbling “cheers’ that crescendos into a roar. Participate in this ritual.
4.) Follow The Party People To The Bars After The Beer Garden Closes
You’re got beer momentum, the game start for four hours so why stop – keep the momentum going by joining the fun party people at the VWF Post (hey, drinks are cheap!) on Catalina Ave., then down to the Hermosa Beach Yacht Club on Hermosa Ave. By this time, game-time is approaching and someone knows of a house party, or go to the bars on the Hermosa pier.
5.) Do You Wear Your Race Bib To Bars & Parties Later In The Day?
It’s always cool to arrive at a bar or party showing off you’ve actually accomplished something other than eating and drinking all day. So yes! It’s also an excellent conversation starter for singles at the bars and house parties.
