Rock ‘n Roll Themed Bar & Restaurant Serves Southwest Airlines
Literally.
Rock & Brews, the bar and restaurant that plays rock videos on big screens and includes Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS as investors, is serving up craft beers, juicy burgers and good cocktails.
Located just past the security checkpoint and new lounge-style chairs, Rock & Brews is a meet-and-mingle place ideally suited for Southwest passengers looking for quality beers, drinks and food.
There’s also a location in Terminal 5 (Delta) with one opening up at DFW in Dallas, as well as franchised restaurants throughout North America, tho is has its roots in L.A.’s South Bay Beach Cities with original locations in El Segundo and Redondo Beach.
The food is good – very good. The star of the show is the burger, so full of juicy flavors they literally run down the bun onto the plate. Good dough makes for excellent pizzas and there’s also creative items like a tasty salmon sandwich and Asian-spiced chicken wings.
But the real star here is the bar, for it’s where to hang before SWA flights to high-flying places like Vegas, Phoenix and San Francisco.
The place is open and wide – there’s plenty of room to roll up with your luggage and still mingle with other passengers – and with a couple dozen beers on tap and a full bar serving everything from Bloody Marys to an excellent rum drink, it’s the place hang before a flight.
In fact, after your first visit you may find yourself making a beeline to it on future trips.
Will you see KISS there, too? Well, maybe, according to Stanley.
“We go to Rock & Brews all over the country, and frequently,” he said. “We really believe in it and we really like it.”
Rock on, even in an airport terminal.
