Burgers & Beers & Sunshine Millions Race For #WineLovers

Not all the horsing around at Santa Anita Park in Los Angeles involves watching horses race around the track.

There are also special events and promotions that enhance the experience of betting on the horses and jockeys. PubClub.com is referring to the ones that involve drinks, of course, primarily beer and wine. After all, horse racing is made for socializing and cocktailing.

After an Opening Day that involves a craft beer festival as well as a whiskey tasting, there are other events involving beer and booze. Here’s a list of these events with prices and details.

The 2017 Santa Anita schedule runs thru July 4. The facility opens at noon and racing takes place from 1-5 p.m.

• Dollar Beers & Hot Dogs At Santa Anita Park

Every Holiday Monday (Jan. 2, Jan. 16, Feb. 20)

Yep, dollar beers! Plus hot dogs and sodas.

• Burgers & Brewfest At Santa Anita Park

Saturday, Jan. 14

Gourmet burgers and craft beers. For $35 you get Clubhouse admission, trackside & grandstand seating, four burger sliders and eight 3-ounce craft beer tastings.

• Sunshine Millions Wine Festival At Santa Anita Park

Saturday, Jan. 28

This is one of the biggest race days of the winter season featuring the best of the Cal-bred Thoroughbreds. The wines are from wineries across California.

For $45 you get a General Admission ticket, a wine glass, food samples, a $10 food truck voucher, s-shirt and 12 2-ounce tastings. For $75, you get Clubhouse admission, there rest of the above and 2-ounce samples from every participating winery.
