The Annual Singles Party Is A Friday Frightfest
Nearly all of Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo Beach singles go to this annual event put on by local promoter Berry Bly.
Long known as the “Portofino party” for its location at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach, CA., it now has a new location and in a new beach city.
It’s South Bay Scream, a fun Halloween party that’s full of lively South Bay singles. The 2018 event is Friday, Oct. 26 and it is held at Alta House in Hermosa. That’s the former Ocean Club above Abigaile just off Pier Ave.
There are separate rooms, dance floors and four DJs in the different areas, playing different kinds of music. There’s Halloween decor (of course) and it is sure to attracts lots of costumed locals looking to be couples for the night.
In other words, it’s the same awesome party but in a different location. Hey, you’ve got to change things around from time to time.
The scene here is for singles, though a few couples manage to make it through the door.
South Bay Scream is the party all the South Bay singles want to be at on Halloween weekend the one that sells out and the one that gets several hundred people roaming through the venue with costumes, cocktails and a story to tell in order to try and meet the perfect mate for the night.
Er, yes, it’s a total South Bay singles scene.
There are drinks – beer and cocktails – available for purchase from temporary bars in the area.
Admission is $40 (plus a $4.99 service fee). There might be some tickets available at the door but PubClub.com’s advice is not to risk it because it’s likely to be sold out by that time. Tables with VIP options are also available.
Bly is also putting on a Haunted Hotel at Shade Redondo on Saturday night. If you go to both, there’s a package to save $25 off the individual ticket price.
