You get an evening Wine Hour in a “gourmet treasure chest.” And it’s complimentary to all guests.
During the daily wine hour, wines and local beers are available along with a “Mendo” Box of every-changing appetizers. Each person gets to take a box of food from a cart to enjoy with local craft beers or wines. The owner’s own wine label, Fathers + Daughters Cellars wines, is often poured.
And if that’s not cool enough, the “Mendo Boxes” in which the food is served are from the same eco-harvested redwood from which the inn was constructed.
Once you grab a Mendo Box, you can take it on its large outdoor deck, around the firepit, or in the privacy of your own room. Just don’t forget your beer or wine, of course.
Perched high on a bluff top overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Brewery Gulch Inn reigns cathedral-like over the dramatic coast. Constructed in 2001 from 150-year old redwood reclaimed from the nearby Big River, the 10 romantic rooms – many with deep, two-person tubs and private decks – all look out over picture-perfect views of Smuggler’s Cove.
Reservations can me made on its website, Brewery Gulch Inn.
