Team To Celebrate & Fans To Party In Downtown Oakland

The party is on – or, rather, it will continue into the week.
The Golden State Warriors and their fans will celebrate their 2017 NBA Championship with a parade through Oakland on Thursday, June 15.
It will start at 10 a.m., with the launching point being Broadway and 11th St. It will then turn right on Harrison to 19th St, and right on Lakeside Drive, ending on Oak and proceeding to the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center.

Fans will be allowed to line up at Lakeshore and 12th Street as early as 4 a.m.
While that sounds ridiculously early, it may not be such a bad idea. During the Warriors’ last parade in 2015, people lined up an estimated 20-30 people deep.
As of this post, the weather forecast calls for mostly sunny skies in a week full of sunshine with a high of 78 and a low of 59. There is no chance of rain. Even tho it’s “June Gloom” throughout California this mointh.
The map below provides the exact route of the victory parade.
Don’t expect much work to occur in Oakland and neighboring San Francisco on Thursday, at least among Warriors fans. And, depending on how deep some party, on Friday, as well.
