It’s Going To Be ‘Fun, Fun, Fun’ At This Embarcadero Venue

There will be a lot of “Fun Fun Fun” happening in San Diego’s newest concert venue, The Shell Amphitheatre, when the Beach Boys come to the sunny city.
The legendary “Good Vibrations” band – or the 2020 version of them anyway – will play on July 13, the first non-symphony performance of this venue, which is set to open three days earlier with a performance by the San Diego Symphony.
The permanent facility, with a capacity of 10,000, is located on Embarcadero South, sitting between San Diego Bay and the Marriott Marina. It seems to be the perfect place to see a legendary band that sings about the Southern California lifestyle.
The Beach Boys played here last October at Humphries By The Bay. But Don’t Worry Baby, for it’s hard to get too much of the Beach Boys in San Diego.
