There are plenty of spirits and spirits are high among those in attendanceduring the annual San Diego Spirits Festival, set to take place Oct. 7-8 in La Jolla.

This dress-to-impress event at the beautiful San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art (its location is where the “first lady of La Jolla, Ellen Browning Scripps, had her house) with gorgeous views of the shoreline and entertainment that includes samba dancers, belly dancers, DJs and flamenco guitarist Jason Jenkins. The event includes access to the museum and its galleries. In all there are five different settings, which exhibit the fun and class of this event.

This is no run-though-it-quickly tasting, for the number of hours each day provides plenty of time for savoring the scene. The San Diego Spirits Festival hours are 3-7 on Saturday and 1-5 on Sunday. That provides plenty of time to soak in all the elements of the event.

Tickets are $100 on Saturday and $90 on Sunday and can be purchased here.

As its name implies, there are spirits at this event with booth featuring pours of high-end tequlas, vodkas, bourbons and whiskeys, gin, brandy and cognac, liquers and ready-to-drink cocktails. The atmosphere is lively and energetic with a casual yet classy atmosphere beffiting the sophisticated setting.

In addition to the spirits, there is food from restaurants Beeside Balcony, Lobster West, Verde Marketplace, Cherry Wine, Piazza1909, The Alcove nad Dunkin.

Now in its 14th year, it relocated from the Broadway Pier to La Jolla in 2022.

San Diego Spirits Festival Location, Address & Map: 700 Prospect Street, La Jolla.
