You read that correctly – dollar beers! It’s every Thursday from 9-10 p.m., at American Junkie in the Gaslamp Quarter.
• World’s Largest Crawfish Boil – July 24
Organizers truck in 15-20 tons of Louisiana “bugs” in what they call the World’s Largest Crawfish Boil. Its official name is the San Diego Crawfish Boil. It’s a day of all things Cajun: food, live music and beer. It takes place at Waterfront park from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets are not cheap, starting at $78 (group packages are available). • Bike The Bay – Aug. 22
Put this one under “exercise then socialize,” a 25-mile bike ride that goes over the Coronado bridge, which is closed for bikes this day only. Put on by the San Diego Bike Coalition, it rolls through San Diego, up and over to Coronado, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach and National City. Website: www.bikethebay.net.
• Salsa Under The Stars – Aug. 27
A free night of listening to and dancing to salsa under the stars is happening at The Headquarters, which is behind Seaport Village. It features live music from Manny Cepeda & Orchestra, which often plays at Sevilla in the Gaslamp Quarter.
