The people roll in from all sides of the street and even from a party bus.
They come seeking fun, partying with other San Diego singles and dancing and drinking to EDM music.
Their destination is Toro nightclub on the corner of 5th Ave., and G Street in the Gaslamp Quarter. And they pack the place every Wednesday night. The EDM music is pumping and there’s also a really cool downstairs bar, which is a good place for conversations.
The reason? Well it’s more than the fact that Wednesday is Hump Day. It’s more than the fact that there is no cover charge for them and $5 drinks for an hour.
It is because they have been “recruited” by local promoter Brian Levinson of the Levinson Group.
He’s the organizer of it, as well as a similar event on Thursday nights just a couple doors down Fifth Ave., at American Junkie, which has dollar beers (yes, dollar beers!) from 9-10 p.m. Anyone can join these parties, any age group and go as a single or part of a group. There’s no fee to pay. Amazing.
When he puts out a party alert, people respond.

He does far more than just these weekly Gaslamp bar events. He organizes party boat cruises, bar crawls and is hosting a huge New Year’s Eve bash.
You can find out information on these and other events on the Levinson Group on its website, its Facebook page or by emailing [email protected].
Okay, now get ready to party on Wednesdays and Thursdays like you do on weekends.
