But there is no place like ReBru Spirits, which has brought a funky party scene to Barrio Logan just south of downtown and the Gaslamp Quarter.
First of all, it serves San Diego craft beer but not as craft beer.
Huh?
Yes, it takes unsold and extra beer from the breweries and makes spirits out of it. There is vodka, gin, bourbon, absinthe and a rum that is made in conjunction with San Diego’s BoochCraft Hard Kombucha.
And don’t worry, craft beer lovers. It also has beer as well as a full bar.

It does this in a space it describes as being” a Willy Wonka-esque warehouse.” The space also has a craft brewery, Texas style BBQ pit, speakeasy, craft distillery and large indoor and outdoor events area that occasionally has full-on bands that’s like like a music festival or small concert. Its patio is dog friendly.
One of its most popular times is Thursday for its weekly trivia nights.
The food is Texas BBQ with burritos (hey it’s San Diego), burgers and salads. Prices are around $15.
You can also book a tasting tour for $20 that incudes three spirits samples.
